Common domestic water purification systems filter water with activated carbon (absorb impurities and remove hazardous heavy metals and chlorine) and ion-exchange resin (soften water) and cannot effectively kill bacteria. As the NKFG water purifier uses UV sterilization to kill up to 99.99% of bacteria in water, it can upgrade domestic water purification systems to direct drinking water grade.

No. After filtering impurities and foreign matters by ordinary water purification systems and the UV sterilization of the NKFG water purifier, tap water is directly drinkable, and it is no need of boiling. People in Taiwan often boil water before drinking because water lines in Taiwan are old, and the government adds lots of fluorine to inhibit bacterial growth, making running not directly drinkable. Although boiling can remove fluorine and kill bacteria in water, bacterial will grow again in about 8-16 hours. To ensure drinking water safety, the NKFG water purifier uses UV sterilization as the last line of defense for drinking water.

Brinouva uses the world’s first UV-C water sterilization module ever to pass NSF/ANSI 55-2019 certification on the water purifier to kill bacteria by radiating running water with UV-C with a wavelength at 280nm which can directly destroy the DNA and RNA structures of microorganisms to block their protein formation, in order to kill the bacteria or make them unable to reproduce. Apart from eradicating pathogens, UV sterilization is the only way so far to remove all bacteria and viruses without leaving residues of any kind.

UV sterilization is fast, thorough and easy to operate, contains no contamination, and requires only a low use and maintenance expense. It can kill almost all bacteria, viruses, parasites, pathogens, algae, etc. without causing secondary pollution or toxic substances. According to the empirical study at the BCS laboratory during the US FSF certification, the NKFG water purifier can kill up to 99.9999% of E. Coli when flow velocity is 1L/min and delivers a sterilization rate up to 99.99% when flow velocity is 2L/min, meeting the directly drinking water grade.

The UV water sterilization module on the NKFG water purifier is equipped with robust and durable UV LEDs with an average life over 5,000 hours. Therefore, there is little need for replacement in normal use. In addition, the NKFG water purifier does not use filters of any kind. Therefore, it does not really need any consumables.

The minimum life of the NKFG water purifier is 5,000 hours.

No special skill is required for installing the NKFG water purifier. Simply connect the white hose of the domestic water purification system to the inlet of the NKFG water purifier. There are two options for installation: “Countertop Dispensing” or “Two-Way Switch.”

The NKFG water purifier supports any domestic water purification systems. Simply connect the white hose of the domestic water purification system to the inlet of the NKFG water purifier.

The NKFG water purifier is equipped with a one-button design. After connecting it to a domestic water purification system, connect it to the power source and press the button for water to come out automatically. Then, press the button again to shut down the water after use for “press and drink.”
